After the release of WABM Raw Denim, I knew I wanted to continue exploring bottoms. I love the comfort of sweatpants but wanted to retool its aesthetic through the lens of trousers and denim.

Jil Sander, Visvim, and Needles are 3 brands that inspired by initial sketches. I wanted sweatpants that were casual yet elegant and relaxed yet structured. This curiosity led me to design the WABM Warmup.

My first sketch stats on pen and paper. From there, I'll bring the design to a digital rendering in Adobe Illustrator, which takes me hours. Though time consuming, this process allows me to appreciate design end to end. From the pocket opening to the stitch details, the design of the sweatpants are informed by my love for denim.

I tapped in my close friend Ethan to help me again with garment labels. I wanted to keep the DIY feel from my first label but elevate the idea. After two months of revisions, we signed off on the third label, which will be used on every garment go forward.

The fabric on these sweats is constructed from 14oz fleece that has a pique feel. This texture reminds me of the ruggedness from raw denim.

I collaborated with Jorge & Nevyn on the upcoming creative; it's inspiring being around these two. I'm grateful this platform allows me to connected with friends to build something meaningful together.
